| These are sets that I am trying to obtain to add prominence to my collection There are no really more “really” rare sets to add to the collection. These are sets I have that I would consider hard to get 1. Club Car - more available than the sets above...very popular and wasn’t offered in US. Paid $100, which is the going market price these days...retail in Europe for about $30 US. Note: I have original 4547 ... Of course, they released this set as a Legend from Shop @ Home as set 10002 Legend Club Car) 2. Paradisa Funfair - another set from the Paradisa line....very cute with the swings, the small beverage bar, and the game of chance... paid under $30, which in my opinion was a steal considering how little this set goes on the open market for. 3. Evacuation Team (1656)- History of set ... seen this in the store at the same time as the above set ... another extremely rare set ... again set going for at least $75 and up ... again barely retailed for $25. I have most of the other fire apparatus Lego put out ... I have all the fire stations between 1982 and now ... and have nearly all the fire equipment between 1988 and now ... this would finish my lego fire collection. I have 2 of these...one exact set, and another with minor substitution 4. Bank(1490) - History of set ... seen this in the store several of them ... why can’t I seem to find any sellers on E-bay ... set going for upwards of $100 to $200 ... retailed for barely $25. I have Town Jr. Bank, and WildWest Bank (part of Gold City Junction) ... need some sort of Bank Headquarters....I don’t see why set is so demanded, it is a very nice set, but a little bit too simplistic. 5. Paradisa Country Club - History of the set ... didn’t come out too long ago 1996 or 1997 ... extremely hard to find ... this will most likely be my anchor to my Paradisa Collection since it combines a nice restaurant with a nice horse stable ... including a baby foal. (mine is MISB) 6. Dacta Hospital - History of set ... part of the town subtheme for Dacta designed for schools ... huge set that has a lot of medical equipment lots of doctors and nurses, a 6666 ambulance and medic’s car.... seen several of these sets when I first got hooked to E-bay, never won a bid ... have Emergency Treatment Center but would love to combine hospital to that to form a metropolitan-sized Hospital with complete medical servicing. |
