To test posting to single or multiple groups, use lugnet.off-topic.test. In side this group are two additional groups, lugnet.off-topic.test.foo and lugnet.off-topic.test.bar that are useful to test cross-posting.

To test your ability to cross-post, go to: http://news.lugnet.com/news/post/?lugnet.off-topic.test.foo

Add a comma and the text “lugnet.off-topic.bar” to the “Post To:” field to direct your test message to both groups foo and bar.

For instance, using Internet Explorer 6 on the Windows operating system, your test message may look similar to this:

Click on the Post button towards the bottom of the page to test your message.

If your message is successful, you will see an acknowledgement that your message was accepted and will be appearing soon.
