A short guide to building and using NanoScale spaceships with Battlefleet Gothic®*. Sept 2002. The Eldar captain watched in horror as her arms melted and flowed in to a rigid farce of her once elegant limbs. Were they right? Was this Wormhole a dead end? Had she condemed the thousands in her command! Doomed to a chromatic universe of squares where ones feet stick to the floor? She turned and looked at the rest of the crew on the bridge, yes, they too had been transformed. The sight of the old Harlequin general at his weapons station broke her will and she fell to the deck with fits of laughter. No time to paint 14 ships for a quick afternoons game? Well grab all your odd bricks and start building. When designing your ships you may wish to use your parts to help you remember what each ship has for weapons. There are four main types of weapons used: Lance, Nova, Weapons and Turrets. Picking a part such as a hinge plate for each battery and placing it in the model in the general facing listed in the Registry. Or just make nice looking ships its up to you. Here are some example ships for each of the major races mentioned so far. Some of the ships illustrated are for fun and are clearly to large to use on the game surface. Chaos
Eldar
Ork
Tyranid
Necron
Tau
Generic
Note that some ships may not be assigned to the correct fleets: The Tau/Demiurg may have to be broken out if they prove(I have only upto #10) to be Enemies not Allies of the Kroot/Tau. Warp Beast may move up into Tyranids if I get some more ideas for Generic and Mercenary ships. As they(warpbeast) are now I have been using them with Dark Eldar fleets. Who else would be able to offer cleaned out ship hulls for warpbeasts to use like hermit-crabs. In addition I have mixed: Dark Eldar, Harliquin and Eldar as one type. Fluff comic will get more frames as I think of more things in the 40K:BFG universe to make fun of grin. * Battlefleet Gothic, Warhammer, Warhammer 40000, AndyC, Ork, Floor, Top, Table, Lamp and several other words are trademarks of Games Workshop.
