Brickbury Herald 13th August 2002 Late Edition The building day project was a massive success and we now have a second park to show for it. Mayor Autissier was taking the lead in digging, planting and watering and said Im bushed, excuse the pun, but I am really tired. Every resident of the town turned up to help giving the event a real party atmosphere, music was provided by the One by Two White Plates the food as always, from the Lambert brothers, was excellent. The park a traditionally contemporty design with red and white highlights was designed by Bones who admits that horticulure is a passion, located next to the stores on Castle Street it is a solitary refuge for the stressed and overworked. No worry for that happening in the layed back village of Brickbury. The emergency services were there to help distributing drinks and rather more reluctantly donuts to the hardworking participents. After the park was finished a small party was held to continue the spirit of the week. Despite very warm conditions everyone managed really well, until the weather cools however we ask that you try and water the fledgeling plants so all of the good work is not wasted. |
