Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Castle and Pirate, and other things from days of yore.
My fascination with LEGO began... when I found 1788 Pirate's Treasure Chest at a garage sale in 1998. The next week I found 6273 Rock Island Refuge for $5 and I was hooked!
Someday I will build... an exact replica of my house, and historic buildings in St. John's.
LEGO is great because... You can make anything in the world, and if you're not happy with it - or it gets dropped on the floor - you can build it again!
LEGO fans are great because... they don't think I'm crazy or infantile, or wasting my money. And they're a constant source of inspiration.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Playmobil, and the original Fisher-Price sets.
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: My daughters, choral singing, vegetarian cooking.
My favorite Foods: Vegetarian ethnic - especially Indian & Mexican.
My favorite Movies & TV: No TV, no VCR, no DVD. Theatres very occasionally.
My favorite Artists: Van Gogh, Mary Pratt, Jean Patey
My favorite Music: Loreena McKennit, Tangerine Dream, Enya, Bach
My favorite Pets & Animals: Cats, other people's dogs
Words which best describe me: Tall, quiet, easy to get along with. Mommy!
I love it when... ...I put a few bricks together and it starts a chain reaction of ideas.
...I make or do something that other people like.
I hate it when... ...people don't work with the team, just push their own agenda regardless.
... the piece I drop goes waaaaay under the bookshelf!
I can't seem to get enough... time to just sit and build.
I always seem to have enough... red and white 2x4's. I guess I haven't built anything big enough yet.
I hope I always... stay friends with my family.
I wish I could... have a house that cleans itself.
I could never... live as happily in any other city or town.
I hope I never... have to go back to school.
In my craziest moments... ...I wish I had crazy moments, but I take deep breaths and it passes.
More & Less: - more commuting by biking or walking, less gridlock and pollution
- more kitchen gardens and homemade bread, less overpackaged overpriced overprocessed non-food
- more clever use of existing pieces, less SPUDs
Rules I try to live by: - Work to make things easier for everyone.
- Allow more time than you think you need.
- Never pay full price.
Additional comments:
I'd love to hear from other LEGO fans living in Newfoundland!
