Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Town, Train, Mindstorms

My fascination with LEGO began... When I received my first Lego set for my fourth birthday -- the first mini-figure Police Station.

I once built... A large city with a harbour, airport, and subway.

Someday I will build... Even a better, more realistic city (at least in parts); various buildings and architectures of interest; models of computers

LEGO is great because... Its potential is limitless.

LEGO fans are great because... They are creative and expressive, not destructive and oppressive.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Computers

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Lego, computer networking, subways, cooking, modern art, comedy, drawing

My favorite Foods: Prime rib, fried chicken, pasta, Hungarian food

My favorite Movies & TV: Comedy, cartoons, science fiction

My favorite Artists: Mondrian, Cassandre, subway maps

My favorite Music: Classical, jazz, latin dance, disco, 80s, other eclectic

My favorite Pets & Animals: Frogs (not currently a pet, mind you)

Words which best describe me: Unique, humourous, critical, perfectionist

I love it when... things go my way

I hate it when... people are too uptight

I can't seem to get enough... Lego, subway stuff, obscure music, food

I always seem to have enough... work to do, projects I need to start or complete

I hope I always... remain creative and interested in many things

I wish I could... be in better shape

I could never... change my perspective of aesthetic

Believe it or not... I'm a dual citizen, have all of my wisdom teeth, and other pretty believable things ;)

More & Less:
  • more creativity and generosity, less mindless obsession with money
  • more focus on making earth better for everyone, less focus on making earth better for one's self
  • more Lego, less SUVs, Pokemon, bad pop music, and other stupid fads

Additional comments:

After almost a decade of Lego "drought," I'm trying to get back into building. It's been a while, but I have high aspirations of building some large, intricate structures. I have two current items of focus:

1. Making "featured blocks" of a large, wholly fictional city. Plans include an intriticate subway system, a large central train station, full airport, observation tower (like the CN Tower or Space Needle), a university, government buildings, astronomical observatory, bridges, tunnels, skyscrapers, shoppes, cathedrals, a performance hall, etc. ... Mind you, I don't have enough Lego or space to realize the entire city at once, so I will have to focus on building scenes one at a time. This will allow more detail (and Lego) to be put into each project.

2. Build items that I encounter in my life. These include my place of work (the Sun Microsystems Burlington, MA campus); various Sun, NeXT, and Mac systems in Lego form; a classic VW Beetle; interesting art and architecture.
