Carsten B. Thomsen ("cbt")
Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Technic.
My fascination with LEGO began... Way back in my childhood when I got my first Lego bricks. I guess Lego is one of the main reasons why I decided to become an engineer, which I am today (and still being a Lego-fan).
I once built... A strongly rebuild 853/956 auto chassis with rear suspension and 8860-like steering. And a 2 cylinder mini-8860. Was in the early 1980's.
Someday I will build... A huge non-LEGO model railway (scale H0, DCC), I hope.
LEGO is great because... Lego keeps developing, but it will always be Lego. New parts bought today fits 30 year old parts perfectly. Often children gets their parents childhood-Lego, that can still bring joy and still appeal to childrens (and adults) fantasy.
LEGO fans are great because... Without Lego and Lego fans Earth would be a MUCH more boring place to live.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Model railroad H0 1:87 DC, especially structures and layout accessories like agricultural items.
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Writing. Among many other interests.
My favorite Foods: Almost any kind of food (however, junk-food is NOT on my favorite list.)
My favorite Movies & TV: I don't have the time for watching television.
My favorite Artists: Is the worlds most gorgeous brunette, Summer Altice. A breathtaking and natural, brown-eyed beauty.
My favorite Music: Whatever is played on Ibiza in the summer time and at the trance channels on www.di.fm. And also classic (piano) music. And to some extend rock, pop and R&B.
My favorite Pets & Animals: I like cats. But unfortunately they make me sneeze. The same goes for horses.
Words which best describe me: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide.
I love it when... People are serious about what they are doing. Its the only way to go if you want to make it today.
I hate it when... People judge others by the color of their skin.
I can't seem to get enough... Sunshine. Summer. Warm weather.
I always seem to have enough... Minifigs and minifig parts. They're totally useless to me. I don't hate minifigs - I just leave it up to others to like them - and to buy them from my BrickLink shop.
I wish I could... Make everyone love each other more.
And perhaps meet Summer Altice in real life some day. Should I invite her to Denmark ?. Hmmmm. Considering...
I could never... ...imagine myself PLAYING with Lego in the "minifig-way". I'm a (Technic) designer... :-).
I hope I never... Lose inspiration.
I wish I hadn't... Purchased the 8880 SuperCar Mk II at BrickLink recently. Now it's parked on top of my bookshelf, and now I've realized how UGLY it really is.
In my craziest moments... I bought the 8880 SuperCar Mk. II as mentioned above.
Believe it or not... I gladly mutilate almost any LEGO part - mostly used liftarms bought on BrickLink - just to make them fit into my Technic MOC. In that way I have several parts in my collection and in my Technic MOC's that LEGO hasn't invented yet :-) .
More & Less: - more Decorated Lego parts, less Stickers - especially when they cover more than one Lego part
- more Cool brunettes, less Cold brunettes
- more Sunshine, less Winters
Additional comments:
I wish LEGO would launch more large Technic cars like 8448 and 8466, and motorbikes etc. in the same scale - these large vehicles are THE essence of LEGO, I think.
