Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Space, especially Star Wars, Ice Planet, Blacktron, Space Police, and Mars Mission is pretty cool! Also the Egyptian side of the Adventurers series and Indiana Jones.
My fascination with LEGO began... When I was real small. I just love making vehicles with LEGO. Especially flying things.
I once built... A four-foot replica of the "Arcadia" starship from the Japanese animated TV series "Captain Harlock" (the follow-up to "Starship Yamato", aka "Starblazers" in the US).
I once reworked a Star Wars Episode One Droid Fighter into a Droid High-Speed Courier. It took me 4 hours, but I used every piece and it looked great. It's not much, but I'm proud of it.
Someday I will build... An incredibly cool and gigantic space dreadnaught of some kind.
Or an entire armada of to-scale (with each other) Federation starships (I stocked up on white blocks <grin>). I have all the necessary blueprints and measurements. Ph34r me!
LEGO is great because... You make your own toys. It's problem-solving, engineering, manipulation, what have you. All kids should have LEGO when they grow up.
LEGO fans are great because... They're usually friendly and they don't get drunk and have wild parties that cause them to be thrown out of hotels. Also, they're willing to give building tips and proudly show off their elegant solutions to various Lego engineering challenges.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Toy spaceships, like those Action Fleet ships Galoob used to make. Also, die-cast airplanes and helicopters, and some toy only recently, Hot Wheels (because they're making really out-there and wacky cars that remind me of my old classic Matchbox cars from the '70s).
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: LEGO, music, comicbooks (very little), military hardware, animation, movies, automobiles.
My favorite Foods: In'N'Out Burgers, Trader Joe's, Chipotle, Carl's Jr., Souplantation
My favorite Movies & TV: Star Wars, Fifth Element, Iron Giant, The Mummy, Cowboy Bebop, Smallville, Lord Of The Rings, film noir, Spy Kids, Black Hole, Ocean's Eleven, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, TRON, the list goes on...
My favorite Artists: The Stranglers, Kate Bush, Orbital, Plaid, Black Dog Productions, Meat Beat Manifesto, The Orb, Cabaret Voltaire, Kraftwerk, Squarepusher, urrrrr... . . Are we talking music artists here?
My favorite Music: Electronic music, all styles: Detroit Techno, Electro, Ambient, Tech Step, Downtempo, Trance, Acid
My favorite Pets & Animals: Dogs, big cats, wolves.
Words which best describe me: I'm big and French!
I love it when... ...I find Legos on sale somewhere.
I hate it when... ...a set becomes discontinued before I can buy it.
I can't seem to get enough... ...Star Wars sets. I want more! More! MORE!!
I always seem to have enough... ...
I hope I always... ...
I wish I could... ...go back in time and buy some of the discontinued Lego sets I wanted but couldn't afford. Screw eBay!
I could never... ...
I hope I never... ...have all my Legos stolen. That would suck.
I wish I hadn't... ...wasted my money back 1995. I was so stupid back then, no money sense at all.
In my craziest moments... ...I wave my arm around in front of me and scream "EX-TER-MINATE! EX-TER-MINATE!" like a Dalek from "Doctor Who". They're my favorite characters.
Believe it or not... ...I'm French and I don't drink wine or beer, or smoke cigarettes.
If I were super-human... I'd kick some ass! Some people need a whoopin'! I'd get all of them so-called "world leaders" AND them heads of large corporations together and get them to start fixing some of the problems on this planet. I would help fix the problems too.
I'd probably be the worst kind of fascist do-gooder you'd ever see, but it would be for the greater good!
More & Less: - more Discretion, less Look-at-me-I'm-a-moron-with-no-shame!
- more Turn signal usage, less Middle finger
- more Money for people who actually do the work, less Money for assholes in suits with expensive tastes
Rules I try to live by: - Have fun
- Help others
- Don't be a dick
