Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Vintage Legoland Space and Castle, Star Wars
My fascination with LEGO began... Eight or Nine years old, but really got going in 1980. After seeing Empire Strikes Back, I went to a store and was allowed to buy two things. I picked a Hoth Han Solo Star Wars figure, and a small grey Legoland spacehip (Set #442 - Space Shuttle). Once I got my first Galaxy Explorer, I was in deep!
I once built... A Castle that took up four Crater Plates and was hinged to open in three places, with multiple levels and hidden rooms, but it took up ALL my good pieces, so it was dismantelled in 1984 to create my Millenium Falcon, which is still around and evolving to this day!(Fortunately I've picked up a few more pieces along the way, so I've got other creations as well, and plenty extra for any new inspiration)!
Someday I will build... An AT-AT, inspired by Dave Eaton's fantastic work.
LEGO is great because... Whether you're five or fifty, whether you want to make up things from your mind or recreate an existing subject, and whether you want scale and realism or just playability, you can find it with Lego.
LEGO fans are great because... I now realize we're everywhere, I'm not alone, and people are really open and complimentary about eachother's work.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Star Wars
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Music (collecting, playing guitar), Ice hockey (playing and watching the Red Wings)
My favorite Foods: Italian, Chinese, Hostess honeybuns
My favorite Movies & TV: Star Wars, Raiders Trilogy, any James Cameron, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
My favorite Music: Duran Duran, REM, Van Halen, U2, Indigo Girls, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, Simple Minds, Bjork, The Doors
I love it when... My daughter smiles, The Red Wings win, Casa Dominick's (the adult league Hockey Team I run) wins, I have time to do the things I want!
I hate it when... The above mentioned teams lose, there's no time to do the things I want
I can't seem to get enough... Grey Legos
I always seem to have enough... Any color Lego I don't need at the moment!
I wish I hadn't... Monkeyed around in College without a goal.
More & Less: - more Patience, less Anger
- more Legos, less cost
Rules I try to live by: - Never wear more than one piece of clothing with a fav. theme at a time or you become a goofball.
- Always have music in your mind and heart
- Try to do the right thing. Karma might not be real, but if it is....
