John H. Riley ("Rohnjiley", "Jiley")
Favorite LEGO toys/themes: I'm what you would call a dabbler, I try everything at least once. That said, favs are Trains, Technic, Star Wars OT, Blacktron I, Legoland Town, Mindstorms. Doesn't leave much, does it?
My fascination with LEGO began... Apparently from birth. At least one of my childhood sets came out the same year I was born.
I once built... A monorail BEFORE the monorail sets came out. Wasn't very stable, though.
Someday I will build... 1) Cornell Universtiy's Uris Library and clock tower (undergrad)
2) Tech Tower at Georgia Tech (grad)
3) A large Covered Bridge (hometown in Penna)
LEGO is great because... Can build anything
LEGO fans are great because... Can build anything. And they share it unconditionally!
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: PC Games
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Music, PC Gaming, Soccer, spectating
My favorite Foods: Thai, real Mexican (not Taco Bell), mom's homemade Lasagna
My favorite Movies & TV: Star Wars, Simpsons. Some anime for inspiration.
My favorite Artists: Web cartoonists. I read WAY too many.
My favorite Music: Collective Soul, but I listen to just about anything. Just stay in tune.
My favorite Pets & Animals: The furry kind.
Words which best describe me: Responsible, good-natured
I love it when... I discover something new to me. (building technique, obscure restaurant, etc.)
I hate it when... I'm stuck in traffic.
I can't seem to get enough... LEGOs (I mean LEGO bricks).
I always seem to have enough... Food
I hope I always... have an inspiration for life.
I wish I could... build my Legoland town again.
I could never... allow my mom to sell my childhood sets.
I hope I never... forget to take out the trash.
I wish I hadn't... missed out on some great themes and sets.
In my craziest moments... I forget who I am.
Believe it or not... I fractured my back when I was 14. Ask me about it, it's a funny story (or so I think).
If I were super-human... who says I'm not? ;) I survived a broken back!
More & Less: - more bricks., less gimmicks.
- more sleep, less early mornings
Rules I try to live by: - the golden rule.
- "Happiness is a state of mind. It's all on how you look at things." Walt Disney
- "Always look on the bright side of life." Monty Python
