Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Love the Space / Technic / and Model Team themes. Favorite sets as a kid were the Mobile Rocket Launcher and the FX Star Patroller.
My fascination with LEGO began... ...in 1980 when I recieved the Universal Building set #744 for Christmas. Then came the early Space themed sets and I was hooked.
My interest was rekindled in December 2001 when I unearthed some of the old Lego catalogs from the early 80's and realized that as an adult with a fulltime job I could now afford to build at a scale I never thought possible as a kid.
I once built... All the alternate models pictured on the 744 set box.
Someday I will build... I'm obsessing over plans to build a diorama of characters, vehicles, and sets from the 1986 movie Aliens.
LEGO is great because... For a toy line that's decades old it's still not an antique. My childhood sets work just fine and beautifully well with the latest sets coming out. Now THAT'S upgradeability!
LEGO fans are great because... LEGO fans have turned an idle plaything into a true hobby.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Then: GI Joe, Transformers, Gobots, etc. Now: Computer equipment and video games
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Art & animation. Videogames.
My favorite Foods: Junkfood, though I'm trying to cure myself of that.
My favorite Movies & TV: Animated feature films are terrific!
My favorite Artists: Bruce Timm, Bill Watterson, Mike Kunkel
My favorite Music: Soundtracks, Instrumental, Orchestra, Electronic, Industrial, New Age, John Denver, ...
My favorite Pets & Animals: Dog and a parrot
Words which best describe me: Easily amused
I love it when... I can spend my freetime as I like it without anyone coming to me with obligations.
I hate it when... People show indifference to the plight of the American animation industry.
I can't seem to get enough... ...of a good thing.
I always seem to have enough... toenails.
I hope I always... ...can find the time to draw.
I wish I could... ...draw even faster!
I could never... ...sing "On Top of Old Smokey" backwards.
I hope I never... ...have to be
I wish I hadn't... ... delayed making backups of my computer data...
In my craziest moments... ...I'll smile very scarily.
Believe it or not... ...I once had Brian Littrell assisting ME with music.
If I were super-human... ...I'd be humanly-super.
More & Less: - more fun, less seriousness
- more accomplishments, less finger-twiddling
- more adult-kids, less adult-adults
Rules I try to live by: - Importance is an accolade awarded by others.
- No matter what you do or where you go, there you are.
- Rule #6
Additional comments:
What a terrific convergence of conditions: an adult love of Lego, an easily accessible medium to share, and an audience eager to recieve. Far out!
