Dave Berry
("Squid")

Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Boats

My fascination with LEGO began... when my grandmother bought me a ferry as a boy.

I once built... a multi-storey apartment complex for some guinea pigs. Oh, you meant, "built something out of Lego," huh?

Someday I will build... something out of Lego. Will need to get some, though. Have only just started collecting and all the models I've bought (all from overseas) haven't arrived yet.

LEGO is great because... describing the human condition in terms of small plastic bricks is perhaps the pinnacle of human artistic expression.

LEGO fans are great because... Hard to answer this one as I don't really know any personally. One lass up in Brisbane sends nice e-mails though. Extrapolating to a time when I actually obtain some Lego and make some friends within the collecting community, I'd hazard a guess and say that Lego fans would be great because they'd provide much-needed justification and rationalisation to each other for the fact that as adults they're spending a small fortune on what are basically kid's toys.

My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Matchbox

My favorite Hobbies & Interests: I collect silverfish, I knit, I've always love iguanas, I iron and I sit in gutters a lot.

My favorite Foods: lettuce

My favorite Movies & TV: "An Affair to Remember" and "Rambo III" have always been personal favourites.

My favorite Artists: Greg Long (he's one of my mates - he painted me once and I looked awful!)

My favorite Music: I play a little sax and an even smaller guitar

My favorite Pets & Animals: A dog, many mice and some silverfish - you thought I was kidding about the silverfish, huh?

Words which best describe me: horse whisperer

I love it when... TV stations play, "An Affair to Remember" back to back with, "Rambo III."

I hate it when... fat people wear clothes with horizontal stripes.

I can't seem to get enough... money (cash or gold bullion)

I always seem to have enough... air and water

I hope I always... have sufficient air and water

I wish I could... fly without mechanical aid

I could never... fly without mechanical aid

I hope I never... lose an important body part in a freak industrial accident

I wish I hadn't... lost an important body part in a freak industrial accident

In my craziest moments... I sculpt mashed potato

Believe it or not... you're actually reading this stuff!

If I were super-human... I'd move the earth into an orbit a couple of million kilometres further from the sun so that we could all ski more

More & Less:
  • more action, less talk
  • more black pudding, less graffiti
  • more nude face painting and artistic expression from our politicians, less tiers of Government in Australia

Rules I try to live by:
  1. Don't eat the last sausage without asking if someone else wants it first.
  2. Don't put plastic bags in with the recycling
  3. Don't buy cheap shampoo because it usually gives you dandruff

Additional comments:

If you have any older Lego boats you want to get rid of then I'm your man. That's right folks, talk to me first - they don't call me Honest Dave for nothing. It's because my parents were drunk at my Cristening and thought at the time that calling the kid, "Honest Dave" was champagne comedy.
