Dave Norgaard ("legojunkee")
Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Pirates, Castle, Train (9V mostly), Old Sets!!!!, and anything built without instructions.
My fascination with LEGO began... When I was 5 years old I had to spend Christmas in the hospital, and I recieved my first set, a biplane. I've been an enthusiast ever since.
I once built... The Eiffel Tower. -A three wheel motorcycle using some of the first expert builder pieces that were made available. -A ski slope diarama, complete with working tram, and a train (Battery operated) running thru the Mountain. -The Sphinx. -The fighter ships from Battlestar Galactica. -A somewhat acurate version of the space ship from 2001 Space Oddessy. -I better stop now.
Someday I will build... A lego building station for my children. It will have removable mountains, above and underwater areas, forests, beaches, and areas for space sets.
LEGO is great because... It's a building tool. It sparks the imagination. Model lovers can enjoy the satisfaction of building authentic looking models, over and over again. Sculptors have a tool with unlimited possibilities. Children have a toy that teaches them mechanics, physics and maybe even a little history. Not to mention the fact that they're just so much fun to play with.
LEGO fans are great because... Every one of them is a child with an imagination that never died, wether they be 9 or 90.
