1st November - Southport Lego Fest
Organised by Ted Crennell
Church Hall on the corner of Ash Street and Scarisbrick New
Road, Southport.
The hall will be open from 6pm to 10pm on Friday 19th for setting up
displays.
Refreshment will be available on a self help basis. Tea/coffee rolls
and soft drinks. Pyment for this is at cost. A donation towards the use
of the hall is to be made to the church.
The public will be admitted from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday only.
Names of those intending to display/attend to be sent to Ted Crennell via
catabatic2001@hotmail.com
The fest is being advertised on local Radio in Southport and in Liverpool
and in the local press.

26th April - Brickish Association Lego Festival and AGM

Dilhorne Village Hall, Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent
10am to 10pm, Free to BA members and family, £5 membership on the door for non-members
A Total LEGO Experience:
Displays
Large train layout, and a display area
Star Wars display
Technic display
Hogwarts Castle, and other Castle displays
An array of shop display models
Competitions
Bridge Building Competition - not held due to small number of entries (Huw and Michael!)
Timed Building - copy a LLW hockey player as fast as you can! - not held (I think basically overtaken by the Lego Direct Q&A session!)
Building Race - build a set inside its sealed bag while everyone else rustles, crackles and curses around you at the same time. - Won by Simon Bennett
Guess the number of 1x1 plates in a milk bottle. - Won by, er, Simon again.
Trading
A trading post for buying and selling bits and sets.
Lego Company representatives Question and Answer session
An unannounced visit by Tormod, Kate and Jake from Lego. A post-session note of the highlights was made and will be available soon!
The AGM
The associations first AGM took place in the late afternoon. - minutes will be available at the BA site
