Combat Spacecraft —Paul Baulch
Few photo collections speak entirely for themselves, but this collection by
Paul, superbly photographed and documenting several large combat spacecraft he
has designed and built over the years, speaks brilliantly to those who know
its “language.”
The three main spacecraft honor the classic LEGOLAND Space colors of
blue, gray, and transparent-yellow and feature humongous engines, tons of
weaponry (literally, at minifig-scale), and a separable ship. An all-white
craft and an all-black craft are smaller but equally threatening, pound for
pound.
Some of these photos, by the way, were taken long ago and haven’t been
seen on the Net for many years. The SHIVA-1 model, for example, was first
shown to rec.toys.lego in 1994. Paul recently returned from a long hiatus
and stunned everyone with these unique and ugly-yet-beautiful models.
