Tales of the Anvil of Angus

I. Introduction

It came to pass that Angus found a cave with a volcanic fissure. This would surely be ideal to do his metal smithing. One of the first things he made was a giant anvil to help him with his smithing.

Angus loved working with metals. When he became the RED MAGE, he no longer felt the heat of the blazing fires. In fact, he was sure that the fires were providing some sort of healing to him.

II. The Golden Bow

ADAON revealed to Angus a cache of gold. Angus was led to talk with LiYo (the GREEN MAGE) about what to make with the gold.

She had a bow on her mind, since she was a Ranger. So Angus melted a good portion of the gold he had found and shaped it into the bow. Just after he had knotched the metal at the ends to put the string there, Olaf (the BLUE MAGE) came in with a special string what was razor sharp and would put minimal stress on the bow, itself.

It didn’t take long to finish crafting the bow. Then LiYo immediately picked it up and she blessed it. She also imbued some of her magic upon it so that the arrows hewn from it might have higher accuracy to their targets.

She then took possession of the bow to hold on to it. It was expected that she give it to ADAON’s champion. A single warrior would wield it as part of his weaponry as the sole defender of the Blessed Realm (in its greatest need).

III. The Golden Helm

The Helm was crafted next. Angus wanted it to be made of gold as well but didn’t have enough gold to make it completely out of it. So steel was combined with the gold to make it a bit lighter but stronger metal.

It took much longer to make the helm because he had to shape the metal into the proper specification without making it too thick and heavy, and also still allowing it to maintain its rigidness.

He put a spell on the helmet to accept only the Champion’s head and it would fit his head automatically.

After making the helmet, it was given to Olaf who also blessed the helmet and imbued it with giving the Champion stamina and limited Jumping ability. The helmet was also charmed with being able to withstand direct hits with arrows, being able to repel magic attacks, and being able to stop itself from rusting. The helmet was given to Olaf to be put under his safekeeping for the Champion.
