RTL 9: SHOW ME THE MONKEY PICS Warning: Linked Pics are very large and take time to load up..... here is the link for the folder: RTL9 Picture Folder (Brickshelf Folder w/ Thumbnails) My contribution: Moral Support, Staunchion Carrier, Scorekeeper, and crowd control.....BASH Brother 2001 :) along with Iain Hendry (notice our trademarked red hats!!! );-) So in other words, I didnt bring a robot, due to sorry and limited technic parts that I own, and a very limited experience with Mindstorm/Technic series... Anyway, heres the pics... Travelling There... First, I drove my car to the Port Credit GO station....so I could have a great adventure, besides having a great Lego experience (even though it is Technic) Photo 1 GO station Pic 1, the GO train approaches (faint) Photo 2 GO station Pic 2, the GO train approaches (closer) Photo 3 GO station Pic 3, about to board the GO train Photo 4 On the GO train, took pic of Level Crossing...mmmmm Notice the background is whizzing buy, and the crossing is clear!! I loved how that pic turned out!!! Got to Union Station, and then took the subway to the library, first going from Union to Queens Park Station, and going out the College Ave exit. Walked 3 to 4 blocks to the Library. Preparation Phase Photo 5 Iain and Calum working on their entry for contest Photo 6 final preparations for the contest, nice ladder Bruce!!! Let the Games Begin...wooohooo!!!!!! Photo 7 Bruce vs Derek Photo 8 Bruce vs Derek, part II Photo 9 Rob watches another robot finish much later than his Photo 10 Another round of competion Photo 11 More competition Photo 12 Perhaps some funnel cakes or strawberry children Photo 13 Another display of the great robotic monkeys Photo 14 Rob, the winner of the games I guess that is it for the competition..... We went to Mels right after, (I think I went with Chris and his wife) an RTL tradition to discuss upcoming events, more specifically to talk about RTL 10 (Project X), which had been brought up by Chris Magno, who wanted it to be named Hey Mister as in Hey Mister, your robot sucks!!!!! After a heated debate on some of the finer points of the game, which will consist of Iains specialty, Gantry Robots, we all parted ways again. On the way back... I then boarded the subway, this time picking it up on the corner of Bloor and Bathurst, at the Bathurst Subway Station, just across the street from Honest Eds. Photo 15 A nice picture of a street car, on Bathurst St Photo 16 Another picture of a street car, at the Bathurst Subway Station From Bathurst Subway Station, I rode to St. George Station. Photo 17 Pic 17 St George Subway Station and a train approaches I went back on the Young/University Line, and then went to Union Station, where, I went next door and boarded the GO train. I travelled back to Port Credit Station (where my car is) and got off. Photo 18 A pic of the GO train, passing by, as I was about to go home. The above picture upset me slightly, because if I had waited just 2 more minutes, I would have taken a picture of an Amtrak train....mmmmmmm..... Metroliners, anyone?????? :) Just for giggles.... I was playing around with this picture....could it be Saddam??? click here for laughs ooops...no its only Chris Magno!!! (He he he) click here for more pictures |
