| News Archive This is to put all the what’s new entries that are over 12 months old. April 26, 2002 I think there is more than I can put in here, so I’ll keep it as brief as I can. Some of the highlights include getting a postal van (7819 train car), a 590 (old fire station with interesting doors to it, another decent-sized Lego Shop@Home order, 2 MISB sets courtesy of Chris Magno (L&S & micromotors!! WOW!!), and last but not least, a Digital Camera!!!! YEP!! A real one (HP 315, 2.2 Mega Pixels). Hoorah!! This camera is real FUN!!!! There, as brief as I can write it!! :) March 8th, 2002 I’m sorry for not posting lately...I got another monster order from Shop @ Home, close to $300 US worth, mostly bulk elements and a Blacksmith Shop. My Own Castle (Lion’s Den) is starting to look good. :) I also received 2 more shell promo sets, and a bunch of bricks and plates for various things as well as a 720 basic set...ohhh and don’t forget the RIS 1.0 (a REAL 1.0 with plug-in). My Motor Count is now 12 I bought 3 more HP sets (house of gryffindor, diagon alley, and flying lesson). I ordered a bunch more from Euro....but most of that hasn’t arrived... :( I’ll try to post a bit more often....I also ordered the new train set from Lego Shop @ Home. I plan on ordering one more monster order this spring...and then I’ll wait until the end of the year for another one. C’iao February 1st, 2002 quick posting.... haven’t really received anything since I last posted.... :) but have added a new section on my lugnet lego page...Walled Project Page .... should be interesting as I start on those endevors... :) January 30, 2002 In even 10 days, there is a bunch to post... :) First, I had a great time at Train3... since I last posted, I got 12 green baseplates for my latest project. As well as a large grey base plate. I got 4 defense archers and a King Leo for my ever looming castle collection from the Bay. I got a red racer...which sucked big-time (plastic one piece tires.....) as well as a final duel from Target, a power pitstop on sale at KB toys, and 3 Ogel Command Strikers from K-Mart. January 20, 2002 Well it seems I’ve done a bit of binge shopping. Most notably due to some pretty nice sales in US. I guess you could call me a captive audience, since I went to the mall (Walden Galleria, Buffalo, New York) as a bit of a past time due to being there for weekend drill. I went to a few shops, and found some deals. I went to the nearest Target, and found a solar explorer for $16 US. I also picked up a monster racer vehicle (Nitroblaster, with the monster truck tires). I also bought 6 small starwars sets (that were priced 3 for $10 US), which are to make excellent parts packs :) Since then, a lego airport “Cargo Truck” has come, as well as 6397Gas N Wash Express, the original, not the one that was released this year, and it certainly wasn’t $50 US (oh no!!) I paid barely $40 with shipping!! :) I also purchased Troll on the Loose but I feel the deep inclination to buy the Hogwarts Express..... Help.... Oh before I forget, my shipment of 200 brown rooftiles arrived, and I managed to finish off the ‘hall. Now today, I go to Train 3 in Toronto with my 3 MOC buildings....and my train sets... :) January 13, 2002 Christmas was kind of dry Lego-wise. I only got one set, the Crazy Lego Book that came with a fair number of Technic-style elements. Since last time, I won an auction for 3 defense archers, paid a bit too much for them...oh well!! I seen a bunch at Bay, so might buy a couple more just to stock up... :) I bought 2 new racer sets, the small one with green rims, and the one with Super Giant tires. Oh yeah, put a modest order to Shop @ Home so I could get the rest of the roof tiles on my city hall. I had to order 4 more packs of brown roof tiles, making the total number of roof tiles to 450 tiles (thats only for the 2 X 4 45 decree bricks), I also have 14 roof tiles for the top of the building....ouch there has been a lot of elements in general on the city hall....lots of black and white elements..... December 13, 2001 As promised my lego order arrived in my p.o. box. It was a substantial order, and the only thing that didn’t arrive was the green ninja/emperor set....oh well, there is always E-bay!!! :) I got another club car, 2 guarded inns, a scary (LEGO TIME) clock, and a host of bulk lego bricks, in a various array of colours. This (Christmas Holiday), I should have have a pretty good time of putting together my Town Hall. December 10, 2001 A monorail expansion kit came, 6348, very nice condition. Also arriving was a lego fire boat 4031, which had a few pieces missing, a house 6349, 5987?? Dino Research Compound....giving me all three “flagship sets” of the Adventures Line-up (I already had Pharoah’s Forbidden and Amazon Forbidden play sets) I also got 2 Paradisa sets, 6410(Cabanna Beach) & 6411 (Sand Dollar Cafe). I put in another massive order to Lego Shop @ Home, and will likely update this section again towards the end of the week. November 23, 2001 Parts/sets came from Lego Direct. There were a few sets I ordered for myself, 2148? (Legoland Celebration Truck), an astronaut figue with accessories, and the rest of it was bulk packs, except a few little other sets for presents. I think I over ordered, because I couldn’t use a couple packs, and I had a bunch of left over pieces. But the results were a pretty nice looking church building. My next project is to build a city hall. Also arriving was the Derby Trotter set, and the Airport (6396) .... completing my airport collection. November 13, 2001 Quick update. I put in another order to finish up my church building. It totalled $78 (not including shipping). 1/2 of the order was bulk service packs and the other 1/2 was “small” exclusive lego sets. I also got a fire station but not recently...(just forgot to mention it...). They were the 6385 (fire house I). Also arrived was the medstar rescue plane (6356?). I am hoping that my order comes within 2 days....(I hope). October 30, 2001 I just placed an order at Lego Shop @ Home. I bought over $165 worth of pieces and sets. I got a dragon rider, another mcdonalds set, a bunch of bricks (1X4, 1X6 black and grey bricks), as well as roof tiles (2X2, 2X4, both 45 degree angles, and the 2X4 30 degree angles, all of them in black), and a pack of clear glass window pieces. But the highlight of the order was 2 10002 club cars. This was important, since I designed a new engine model for my “metroliner collection”....it is the “Silver Bullet”. I put together one right away, and my sister is still in the process of putting the other one together. When she is done, it is time for a test run, with the “Silver Bullet Engine”, the two club cars, and my own designed Food Service Car. October 11, 2001 In September, I beefed up my collection of castle stuff... I went to Toys R US and bought $80 worth of Lego. I bought the Guarded Treasury, Catapult Crusher, a Defense Archer, a Arctic snowmobile, Alpha Team ATV set, and the Alpha Team jet. I also got the Police Chase set, which was a German Coffee House Promo set, in the mail. August 31, 2001 The really big news is that the 4565 came in, essentially completing all the major train sets.... another znap set....altogether my motor count is now 10. I don’t really plan on buying any more motors. Also came were a set of light bars....unfortunately one of the bars has a burnt out bulb on one side :( Lastly, I managed to win the auction and receive the 1490 bank. This is great news because I had wanted that set for a long, LONG time. 3 weeks to go for BrickWarz I and approx. 6 weeks to go for Robotics 8 (time to go ape!!). August 18, 2001 From what I can remember (hey a month is a long time for updating....) The order for the guarded inn came, as well as the two packs of switch track (boy, were they expensive!!) The monorail stuff came, and it was real handy for the show!! (RTL Train2) The horse and trailer set came (older, classic set)... the Fire Station came....one step closer to having a completely constructed fire department. Two more motors with battery boxes came, moving my technic motor count up to 6 total. The technic bulk packs (4 motor wires, and 2 packs of “bands”), and the castle “chrome” sets (dungeon and knight’s catapult) soon came after.... Also came were the 6375 Trans-air Carrier, the 6669 Pot-hole Patcher, another level crossing, and the Railroad Tractor Flatbed. I had my 3rd local Lego event just recently.... Train2 (mentioned up above). That was super cool. oh yeah, not to forget, but also 3 sets of znap (with the motors) which I bought from Tim Strutt (Parlugment) moving my motor count up to 9. July 19, 2001 It was fairly quiet for a week, but some of the Lego came. I received another Fire Station Garage Door set (not a bulk pack, but with cool windows...) I received my monorail motor, Train Station 7822 (with the walk way), another Train Level Crossing, I got 2 motors (9v) and my order from Lego direct came... I got 2 airline promo sets, and a bunch of bulk packs for my metroliner... and the big news is I bought a Robot Invention Systems.....man that really rocks!! July 6, 2001 Its been pretty good this week. I got to play with my camera (Vision Command) at my cousin’s house in Leamington (near Windsor)...and showed my cousins my Metroliner set....(which I mailed for some bulk bricks to upgrade it!!) I got the Alpha Team Helicopter, another Fans Grandstand (that’s 3 Grandstands total) making seating capacity 72 mini-figs. I got a 1200 piece bucket... yahoo! And a large, gray baseplate...only one was left :( This was all on Wednesday from Toys R US. I got the Imperial Trading Post yesterday in the mail from Germany. June 26, 2001 I’ll start of by saying that my one sister (who’s 22 is starting to get upset at the amount of Lego in the house: “no more LEGO!!!” :) My other sister really loves it (she’s 12). Saying that, I received since I last posted: half a fire station (6382), a train station (7824), Metro PD station (6598), 4 sets of sliding garage door kits (bulk items), 2 more light kits for my soccer stadium (from Toys R Us), 2 head tribunes (2 more stands for my stadium - 3309), Poolside Paradise (6416), I also bought a Vision Command (Mindstorm set - the Lego Camera!!!) and last but definitely not least......2 Metroliner sets!!!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!!! I now have 9 “Amtrak Train Cars!!!” Wooooo Hoooo!!!!!! Went to Robotics 8... I was the score-keeper!! June 8, 2001 Its been an interesting period of time since the last update. I got the Holiday Home, Neptune Research Compound, another Paradisa set (Playground), another “seaport” crane, ultralight, a police 4 X 4 truck, a couple small sets from Lego Store (in St. Jacob’s), and the latest addition to my train collection, 7722 Battery Powered Cargo Train, it looks soooo sweet....that main engine is so nice, the mail car is excellent, and the flat car is nice too... May 30, 2001 Went to Toys R Us, and got women’s soccor team, another light set for my soccor stadium, and (2) defense archers for the future Leo’s castle. Got in the mail, (2) 1656’s (evacuation team) 2 in 2 days...not bad, a 3314 (world cup soccor stadium security - should be SWAT Team), and today my 2nd 725 (basic town house) arrived. My mother said as she was handing the box down, “your ‘latest’ acquisition has arrived” :) May 27, 2001 Got a riding stable (6379) *very cool set* ... went to rtlToronto: Train1 - it was an amazing experience - added new section to page: silly and serious pics...which were taken by Dave (AKA sparky’s space) and extensively raped by me :) May 11, 2001 My mom told me the “Mother LOAD” hit the house...6 packages from various parts of the world (England, Germany, and Australia have arrived)....including 4549, Twin Tank Transporter, a couple police vehicles, a Paradisa set (6419), a 720 basic set, and a Wave Racer set.... May 9, 2001 Received second 6566....so I am sure I’ll get a chance to build a downtown bank building for my town...also got a LUGNET t-shirt from Kyle Jackson.... looks nice!!!! April 22, 2001 Only set arrived since the last update was small grandstand with lights...but I’ve added 2 new sections to the page... hard2find, and Legoa (the background of my town). April 12, 2001 Fort Legoredo has arrived (it arrived on the 10th, and was very pleased at the layout of the set....it completes my Wildwest Collection and almost completes the northern section of my city (as far as buildings wise). I also got 6521 (a nice small construction vehicle which I’ll use as my hydro maintenance team leader. April 7, 2001 Recently received Breezeway Cafe (MISB), and Hot Rod Club in the mail (as far as Lego sets are concerned) The cafe will look good with my 725-inspired housing area. Hot Rod Club was missing a couple of very minor pieces - and wished I had bought a copy earlier :-( Also, I received in the mail a set of sheets, pillow cases, curtains that matched my comforter and a pillow case I already had..... March 23, 2001 Set update, got the Metroliner and Freight-Rail Runner in the mail, then the next day, I got Refuse Truck, so I have had a pretty good week!!!
