P Macro Scale - Super Size Cars

G005 Motorized Muscle Car Bram Lambrecht
Orinially built in red, with a white roof, a black line down the side, and light gray and white seats, this car has openning doors and trunk. It has motorized steering and rear wheels, and is quite speedy on most surfaces. This has been disassembled, so I can’t take photos of it.

G012 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Bram Lambrecht
Complete with working headlights, motorized steering and rear wheels, spare tire, 6.0 liter V12, comfortable interior, and opening doors.

G013 DeLorean Time Machine Bram Lambrecht
The DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies...complete with opening gull-wing doors, folding wheels, fiber-optics, and cluttered interior.

G015 Lotus Turbo Esprit (1983) Ewout Zandvliet
This is a model of the English supercar Lotus Turbo Esprit. The fastest 4-cylinder car in the world. It has of course all the features you can think of, like a real steering mechanism, a working 4-cilinder engine and gearbox, Mindstorms operated headlights, breakinglights and enginestarter and a lot more. The dimentions are: (lxwxh) 61x30x14 centimeters or 24x12x5,5 inches.

G018 BMW 3 Series (E36) Convertible Yoon Peng-cheong
The ultimate driving machine just got “Lego-lised”...

G019 Jeep Wrangler Yoon Peng-cheong
Jeep with full suspension & V6 engine and a simple ‘with lights’ version.

G027 Ferrari Freight Freitas
This model features a working mid V12 engine, an opening engine lid, 4 wheel independent suspension, a monocoque chassis design and the body is made with more than 2 full bodies from the 8448 supercar. It was suprisingly easy to build for the size (23 inches long) taking me approximately 1 month to complete.

G032 Dune Buggy Freight Freitas
My first Lego creation of recent years. This is the one that truly started my obsession. The fully independent suspension is designed for maximum ground clearance and travel. The rear mounted V6 engine is fully functional and the steering, while it looks good, has limited mobility, to say the least. The old style expert builder wheels came from an auto chassis set that I kept from my childhood. In total it’s 15 inches long and 13 inches wide. Overall, I think it was a good start to future Lego endeavors.

G034 Porsche Freight Freitas
At 15 inches long, this is one of the smaller models I have made. However, it turned out to be quite a difficult task to complete. The difficulties I was faced in building this model started with the design of the front suspension, which underwent many changes. Next problem was the placement of the engine in relation to the interior and rear axle. This problem was due to the limiting factor of trying to achieve the proper wheel base length. Due to the limited space in the rear of the car, I opted to install a solid rear suspension as there was not enough space for an independent set up. I have never seen another car body done only with flexible tubing, so I thought it would be an interesting effect.
