Gloria Jean
My wife and I were blessed with a baby daughter - Gloria Jean Nelson - on July 9, 2005. We didn’t really have a theme in mind for decorating her room, but I knew I wanted to have some LEGO in there somewhere. After putting up a little flower-shaped light from IKEA, I had the idea for my LEGO decoration.

| | Construction of the letters was fairly simple: I printed out ‘Gloria Jean’ in various fonts and sat down with some slopes to figure it out. I made the dot of the ‘i’ a little daisy, to tie in with the light and the daisy ornaments.
The daisies are constructed around a core of 16 headlight bricks, arranged so as to form a square with 2 studs on each side (see Brendon Powell Smith). Each piece is hung on the wall with a modified plate and a bent nail.
