Kevin Blocksidge / town / sunroom

In March and April of 2003, I started a plan to make my home out of LEGO. I measured rooms, drew blueprints on graph paper, and started builting furniture ideas. I eventually scrapped the project, because it was going to be too expensive

In February of 2004, I found some pictures of the furniture I had built, and put them online. They can be found here

While discussing the furniture with some friends in the Classic-Castle chat, I decided to just built the room where I kept my LEGO.

This is the result.

The room is called the Sun Room, because of the many windows. These windows are very useful when I am trying to get good lighting while photographing my MOCs. On the far left are the stacks of bins and containers that I keep my LEGO bricks in. Next to it is a lamp with attached table, the couch, and another table with a lamp on top.

On the far left is the stereo system. The doorway leads into the Living Room. Underneath the blue chair is a partially completed castle MOC. You can see a better view of the many bins. A have-disassabled Castle MOC is on top of the largest of the bins.

On the far left is the TV, with tapes stacked all over. That doorway leads into the dining room. The stereo system is divided into three parts. The topmost part plays records, the middle is a radio, and the bottom plays CDs and tapes. The stereo is often covered with LEGO, my Buzfly is on the left side of the stereo. Many CDs are stacked underneath.

This doorway leads outside into the back yard. During the summer, I sometimes open the door to let in a cool breeze while building. Behind the TV is an old vent that no longer works. The blue bin is one of my favorite sets, the Built-N-Store Chest. I keep minifigs and their accesories in the bin.

That’s it, I hope you enjoyed my LEGO room, and I encourage you to build your own, it was loads of fun!
