thanks for the reference with pictures, dave. i think my brain mixed the 6582
and 1687 sets together ‘cause i’m remembering it differently but those have got
to be the only sets that match what i’m remembering.

While I can’t comment on the accuracy of the model (I’ve never been to Europe),
I’ve got to say that is quite an excellent LEGO town.

i need help identifying/finding a set. i seem to remember a town/flight set
that included a black airplane that had an odd double-tail fin design very much
like the 6582 daredevil flight squad plane
(http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6582-1).
it seems like it was available in the early 1990's but i could be remembering
the set incorrectly. does anybody remember this set?
