Line breaks Manual line breaks In FTX, multiple lines in a paragraph are normally adjoined as if they had been written on a single line. When a paragraph is sent to a web browser, the web browser decides where to break the paragraph back into lines based on the width of the available area. If you ever need to break a line at a specific point, the FTX line-break character is: ¬It is at position #172 in the standard ISO-8859-1 character set. In Microsoft Windows®, you can input this character by typing 0172 on the 10-key pad while holding down the Alt key. You may also be able to paste it from a key caps or character map program.
