Kevin Wilson ("Kevinw1")
Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Town, trains and castle. I like some Lego set designs but usually build my own MOC's for my home layouts, with a sprinkling of adapted Lego designs.
My fascination with LEGO began... Starting when I was about 8 (in 1966) and my sister, my cousin and I were given Lego for Xmas and birthdays. We pooled all our bricks and built big towns and airports with them and played with them for weeks.
I once built... A 40" x 30" stadium
Someday I will build... A model of the International Space Station with my daughter.
LEGO is great because... There are always new ways to use the bricks to build new things. Lego is never "finished with".
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: whips and chains
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Music, gardening, quilting, model railroads, SCA
My favorite Foods: chocolate!
My favorite Movies & TV: none, never, don't watch 'em
My favorite Music: Classical (play violin) and traditional folk/celtic dance
My favorite Pets & Animals: cats
Words which best describe me: Enthusiastic, pedantic, self-contained, loving parent
I love it when... The language I'm programming in makes it easy to do what I need to do
I hate it when... I install a piece of software and somebody finds a bug next day
I can't seem to get enough... Lego windows and white plates
I always seem to have enough... dishes to wash
I hope I always... Get wildly excited about learning new stuff
I wish I could... play with Lego all day
Believe it or not... There are other things in my house besides lego. But I need a bigger house.
If I were super-human... I would Zooom into KKK's office, pick him up and take him for a flight (a la Superman) over the world of AFOL's, and show him how much Lego is missing by ignoring us.
More & Less: - more Long words, less Fewer grammatical and word usage errors
- more People making their own music, less Commercial music production, fewer disposable pop groups
- more Lego trains and *good* town sets, less juniorisation of Lego sets!
Rules I try to live by: - Do what you say you'll do, or give plenty of notice if you can't
- Treat everyone, especially kids, with the respect you'd like them to extend to you
- Listen more, talk less, and get plenty of time alone
