Favorite LEGO toys/themes: Classic Space, Blacktron I and II, Octan-branded items, Star Wars (esp. Classic)
My fascination with LEGO began... ca. 1970 when I received some Lego stuff for Christmas. The first "model" I had was the European Taxie (315), but the one that really set me off was the Rescue Set (770) - inverted slopes!!!
I once built... The Venus Probe from "The Six Million Dollar Man," or at least I tried...
Someday I will build... A life-size model of a human so I can drive in the High-Occupancy Vehicle lane
LEGO is great because... It is open-ended. Once you build what's in the instructions, the rest is up to you.
LEGO fans are great because... The seem to remember the joy of opening that first set, and the clink of ABS bricks sends them into a glassy-eyed stare.
My favorite Non-LEGO Toys: Tente (just kidding!) - probably Erector set or Lincoln Logs
My favorite Hobbies & Interests: Computers, coaching youth sports, photography, scale models
My favorite Foods: Italian & Thai, anything my wife, Rita, cooks
My favorite Movies & TV: Jaws, Sixteen Candles (great quotes from both), "The Sopranos", "Six Feet Under"
My favorite Artists: My two kids, Olivia and Miles
My favorite Pets & Animals: 2 dogs, 3+ cats
Words which best describe me: geek, cranky, eccentric,
I love it when... My kids say, "I love you, Dad!"
Rules I try to live by: - The "golden rule"
- If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
