On September 23rd, Ben kindly invited any AFOLs in the general vicinity of Melbourne to attend a meeting at Craigieburn.
The people who took himup on his offer were:
- Ben (obviously) and Mandy, the Queen of Bionicle
- Martin Scragg (thanks for the lift!)
- Paul Baulch
- Sue Ann Barber
- James Ng
- George Georgiou
(Did I miss anyone?)
As usual, there was some trading, a bit more trading, and yet more trading.
But in between all that, we managed to get a small train layout set up, featuring a station, the re-built World Trade Centre towers, a bridge, Mandy’s church, and (of course) some trains. Also gate-crashing was a hastily assembled space shuttle. Here’s a couple of pics.
And after all the trading was done, we all packed up & went home, vowing we’d do it all again sometime soon (and maybe even have a Mindstorms challenge next time!)
