HML Brig Demand

The third vessel of the Brikkish Squadron to arrive in Port Brique ahead of the Bastille day celebrations, the Demand cut a fine picture. She is now at anchor in Port Brique harbour and stripped of canvas (Brikkish policy is to remove sails from vessels at anchor in order to make theft difficult).

The sister ship to HM Brig Supply (the ship that founded Australia - and the only brig in the first fleet) the Demand is dazzling in her black and white paint, and a handy sailor as well.

The Demand is the first vessel I’ve built which is patterned closely after a real vessel (compared to, say, the Misérable which is just a generic French 28), and was a challenging build. I am pleased with the results.
