Current event status

All submissions, comments, or suggestions for panels, workshops, events, or discussions will need to be in by June 28th so there is ample time for planners to get them organized.

Large Scale Castle Building
Status: Confirmed
A workshop relating some of what I’ve learned while working on my own castle, including tips on building hills and raised surfaces, common castle features, layout and floorplans, etc.

MOC Show & Tell
Status: Confirmed
Present and Describe your creations to other Castle Fans.

Alternate Building Ideas
Status: Confirmed
All particapants are encouraged to bring in examples of their favorite ways of building common castle features, such as arrow loops, windows, crennelations, etc.

Creature Creation/Story/Photography Workshop
Status: Canceled
Anthony Sava offered to do a workshop on creating large creatures/story development/photography tips, or all three.
Unfortunately, I just found out Anthony will be unable to make it to Brickfest this year, so this event will not be happening.

Tournament
Status: Canceled
A more complex tournament, possibly using a variation on the Brik Wars rules to generate statistics for tournament entrants, with a limited number of points to try and keep them all balanced. Statistics would have to be submitted beforehand to make sure there are not too powerful and there is no cheating.

Model Judging
Status: Confirmed
There was some talk last year that small models didn’t have a chance of winning last year, so multiple categories could be made available for popular voting, small models and large models, or more. In addition, there could be a panel of judges who would select their one favorite model from those same categories.

Castle World Panel
Status: Canceled
A panel of the administrators of Castle World and some of the more prolific writers to talk about the future of Castle World, and talk about their upcoming and finished stories.
