AFAIK: As Far As I Know.
AFOL: Adult Fan of LEGO.
ALE: Adult LEGO Enthusiast. This term was coined as an alternative to AFOL, since it is easier to pronounce.
ASAP: As Soon As Possible.

BI: Building Instructions.
BimP: Bricks in my Pocket, http://www.bricksinmypocket.org.
BF: Black Falcons, a Castle play theme; Boyfriend; or Brickfest, http://www.brickfest.com.
BFF: Black Falcon’s [sic] Fortress, 6074 and 10039.
BJ: Brad Justus, Senior Vice President of LEGO Direct.
BK: Black Knights, a Castle play theme.
BOGO: Buy One Get One ___ - usually with some percentage off, sometimes also free.
BSB: Black Seas Barracuda, 6285.
BT: Blacktron, a Space play theme - the evil ones with the black visors. Also BT1.
BT1: See BT.
BT2: Blacktron (the future generation), a Space play theme - the antifreeze-green ones.
BTB, BtB: Bob the Builder, a DUPLO line.
BTW: By the Way.
BURP: Big Ugly Rock Piece - either of the mountain pieces, appearing usually in grey shades, but also tan, yellow, white and green.
BURPMAN: Big Ugly Rock Person Made Annoyingly Nonmobile - refers to the Rock Raiders’ monster.
BV: Belville, a LEGO line.
BW: BrikWars, http://www.brikwars.com; or BricksWest, http://www.brickswest.com/.
BYFMTWW: Bring Your Favorite Minifig To Work Week - held around the week of December 11th. The tradition goes back to RTL days, possibly ‘96 or ‘95.

LTC: LEGO Train Club, a suffix, usually appended to an area. A group of local train fans. See the LUGMAP for your local LTC.
LUG: LEGO User Group, a suffix, usually appended to an area. A group of local fans. See the LUGMAP for your local LUG.

MCM: Mega/Multi Core Magnetizer, 6989.
MF or m-f: Minifig; or, Millenium Falcon, 7190.
MIB: Mint In Box.
MISB: Mint In Sealed Box.
MISP: Mint In Sealed Polybag.
MOA: Mall Of America.
MOC: My Own Creation. Refers to original creations and also to the My Own Creation LEGO line.
MOT: My Own Train, a LEGO subtheme of the 9V Train play theme. These sets are customizable, and are manufactured by The LEGO Company (TLC). They should not to be confused with MOCs, see entry above, which are original creations.
MOTD/W/M: Model of the Day/Week/Month, etc.
MSIE: Microsoft Internet Explorer.
MT: Model Team, a LEGO line, or M-Tron a Space play theme.

NDL: Neptune Discovery Lab, 6195.
NLF: Non-Lego Friend/Fiancé/Fiancée (usually Friend).
NLP: Non-Lego Parent.
NLS: Non-Lego Spouse.
NLSO: Non-Lego Significant Other.
NN: Netscape Navigator.

OBO: Or Best Offer.
OMFIAMP: One Man’s Food is Another Man’s Posion.
OTOH: On the Other Hand.

PEWC (pronounced “puke”): Prefab Explorien Wing, Cockpit.
POOP: Piece [that can or should be made] of Other Pieces.
POV: Point of View; or, in POV-Ray, a rendering program for virtual images.

RBR: Red Beard Runner, 6289; or Rebel Blockade Runner, 10019.
RIS: Robotic Invention System, either version 1.0 (9719), version 1.5 (9747) or version 2.0 (3804).
RK: Royal Knights, a Castle play theme.
ROFL (or variants): Rolling On the Floor Laughing - this often appears with more letters at the end, e.g. ROFLOL is Rolling On the Floor Laughing Out Loud. There are too many variants to list them.
RPG: Role Playing Game.
RR: Railroad or Rock Raiders, an Underground play theme.
RSN: Really Soon Now.
RTL: rec.toys.lego - a USENET group devoted to Lego.

S@H: LEGO Shop at Home - a direct order branch of LEGO. Call to order, or request a free mail-in catalog: 1-800-4-LEGOLA, or go to http://shop.lego.com/. Also known as LS@H, SAH, LSAH.
SAH: See S@H.
SES: Skull’s Eye Schooner, 6286.
SNOT: Studs Not On Top.
SP: Space Police, a Space play theme - refers to black/blue/trans-red variety. Also SP1. Or, if appearing “(sp?)”, refers to questionable spelling.
SP1: See SP.
SP2: Space Police 2, a Space play theme - refers to gray/black/red/trans-green variety.
STAMP: Sticker Across Multiple Pieces.
SPUD: Special/Single Piece/Purpose Ugly/Useless/UnLEGOish Design/Decorative. Many people think that the many meanings of this acronym make it a great one, as it is not Single Purpose at all.
SW: Star Wars, a LEGO line.

TC: Time Cruisers, a Town play theme.
TIA: Thanks In Advance.
TLC: The LEGO Company. Known by this name since autumn 1999, formerly TLG.
TLG: The Lego Group. Nowadays TLC, The Lego Company.
TRU: Toys ‘R’ Us.
TT: Time Twisters, a Town play theme.

UCS: Ultimate Collecor’s Series, a Star Wars play theme geared towards experienced builders.

WM: Wal*Mart.
WP: Wolfpack, a Castle play theme.
WTB: Want To Buy.
WTT: Want To Trade.
WW: Wild West, fan dubbing of the Western LEGO line.

XP: Cross-Posted [to a another lugnet newsgroup]; or, Windows XP.
